Project Description
Interactive Portfolio Version 1.0
March 12th, 2018
Using Unreal Engine 4, I was able to create an Interactive Portfolio in which the player is placed inside of an unknown environment. In this environment, the player can watch videos of my level design projects on a large screen. Outside of the main entertainment room just down the hallway, the player can find a small art gallery with posters created in Adobe Photoshop. Just beyond that is an area under construction for content coming soon! Below, you will find a link to the downloadable windows build.
Interactive Portfolio Version 1.1
April 1st, 2018
Building off of the original project, I redesigned the layout of the scene. Adding a separate wing for the Art Gallery. I also added a fair amount of props to fill in some empty spaces, as well as adding a couple of animated assets to bring life into the scene. A major issue with the version 1.0 of the build was the size. Thanks to some optimization tricks, I was able to dramatically reduce the file size of the 1.1 build.
Interactive Portfolio Version 1.2
April 16th, 2018
The focus of this update was to immerse the player into the environment by adding sound effects and particle systems. In addition to that, two new rooms were added to the scene. One of them being the player spawn room, which contains a small puzzle. And the other one being the elevator that serves as the new exit area. Other small details that were changed were the added roughness to the hallway materials and the removal of the pop up interaction UI, which was replaced by in-game pop ups.
Interactive Portfolio Version 1.3
April 22nd, 2018
The 1.3 version of the project finalizes all of the sound functionality currently in the project. In addition to that, I've also added a fade in and fade out at the beginning and the end of the level. One of that last things I added in this update was a drone cinematic fly-through that adds more life to the scene.
